The President has no say in monetary policies, just to let you know. The Fed is completely independent from the Executive. I don’t see how a rate cut shows “how desperate George Bush is” unless you thought it was Bush that cut the rate.
what you say is correct. but my post actually has a deeper meaning. US think they cannot go any more wrong. The buck ends with the man in charge, which is Bush.
Some say that any president is just a pawn for the Federal reserve. Bush has gone on record with not wanting to bail out the housing market. Yet The Fed is bailing out major Financial institutions? This is a clear cut case of Greed and disregard for the well being of America. No the Fed doesn’t care about the general population.
Some might say that the Fed is just trying to stop a recession. But the cold hard fact is that we need a recession. We partied now here comes the hangover.If we just keep drinking to cure it the hangover will only be worse when we quit. If we don’t quit drinking it will kill us.
BTW i think George W. bush is a horrible leader with good intentions. But we all know how to pave the road to hell don’t we.
